New Cage, New Girls
So after what felt like a long morning, I got home and tore open the box containing the cage. I’m delighted! I had the measurements, of course, but I didn’t realise how nice it would actually be until I opened up the box! It’s currently laying flat on the floor of my room; the c-rings are a pain in the ass, so we’re going to make a run to the hardware store in order to pick up some zip ties. Zip ties had been my original plan all along, but I thought I’d give the c-rings a go before I completely committed - a lesson in trusting one’s instinct, I suppose. In the meantime, I figured I’d share some pictures of the process of setting up the cage.

Water bottle, food dish and springs.

Half of the cage.

The other half of the cage!

Current scraps, hehe.
Also, the animal shelter’s veterinarian doesn’t feel comfortable spaying the girls as s/he isn’t a small animal veterinarian, so I’ll be bringing them home tonight! I’m hoping to get the cage set-up soon, keep me busy until it’s time to go pick up the twins… Then again, I have an essay to write and some homework to do, and I should probably let that keep me occupied in the meantime.
