“Sweetie”
I was more or less disappointed to find out that “Sweetie” has an interested customer, leaving deemed Chloe and Cleo (as I will refer to “the twins” from now on) available. I put in my name in the event “Sweetie” becomes available again, but I figure, looking on the bright side, Chloe and Cleo both seem very sweet themselves, both of whom I was initially drawn to, and starting out with a pair might, in the end, be better than re-acquainting myself with rats with three, so I’m trying to keep my spirits up! Another thing I’ll ultimately be doing is upgrading to an r695, so perhaps the Universe is telling me to hold my horses and have some bloody patience. In any case, it will all happen in time.
I printed out the adoption application and filled it out, answering the questions to the best of my ability, and then, should my mother give me the go ahead to submit the application, they’ll be doing a house check. I’m a little bit nervous seeing as I’ve never had one done before and am not sure what they look for in their animal’s new living quarters. I assume they’ll want to see the cage the rats will be kept in and where the cage will be kept, so that shouldn’t be a problem, though it will mean hustling to clean my room this weekend, in addition to writing the essay due for school and doing the readings. I don’t foresee any problems, though, should I manage my time right… So excitement and glee despite a little bit of dissatisfaction!
