Rescues and Falling In Love

I’ve learnt it’s a bad idea to name rescues, because you’ll more than likely end up falling in love with one or more of them. Their names are “Sweetie” and then the two referred to as “the twin girls,” but I’ve determined that their soul names (hehe) are Elliotte, Chloe and Cleo.

Best part is they’re local… which would mean I wouldn’t have to take advantage of the generous offer of one of GooseMoose’s members (more on that later). I sent an e-mail to the shelter inquiring about each of the rats, my most important question being if the three of them could live together. I have a Martin’s r680 in which I was going to keep two boys, but may end up having three girls! That’s if everything checks out and that’s if everything’s okay with my mother, who I sent a text to this morning. After all, I am still living at home and this is much earlier than I anticipated I’d be getting them.

If the rescue doesn’t pan out, I’ve found someone through GooseMoose who’s willing to take a trip back up to Santa Cruz to deliver babies to me if I pay for gas! This was one of the more generous offers I’ve received in a while, as it’s not only a commitment but a commitment of time, so I wanted to give a special shout-out to MissSara, as regardless of where I end up getting my rats, the offer will be appreciated for a long time to come. Reminds me that there are still people out there who are dedicated to care about more than themselves. So thank you, and many hugs!
