Recent Purchase(s)
So I ordered my Martin’s the other day - an r680 - and I’m sitting on pins and needles waiting for it to arrive. I ordered a powder-coated cage, a 4” aluminum food dish, a 16oz glass water bottle and a spring to hold the water bottle in place for a total of 136.00. Despite it feeling pricey, I’m very satisfied with my purchase and hope to use Martin’s as a shopping outlet in the future.
I also found some cute accessories for a total of 35.00.
The set comes with the following:
Small Square: 10.5” x 9 3/4”
Tube: 15 1/4 x 7.5
Square: 10 x 10.5
BIG square/Rectangle: 16 x 12
Corner with lil pocket in there is: 14.5 x 10 x 10 Small rectangle: 10.5 x 5 1/4
I feel it’s another great deal, there’s no shipping cost and all items come Grommeted and with hooks. I’ll also be ordering shelf liners; I’ve sent out three e-mails and have heard back from two of them, one of which feels she has colours (she could do one of each - one per shelf) that would match the set I’m ordering. I’m not sure how much shelf liners should go for, but I’m prepared to pay a decent price. I’m still not sure if I want to order a liner for the pan or not…
The other predicament I’m currently facing is finding a breeder. I’ve e-mailed several and have heard back from a couple. Though one’s further south and will not be able to accomodate my needs, nor is she right for my situation, she referred me to someone in the San Francisco bay area who’s willing to transport the rats through my county and beyond, so there’s promise there. I’ve heard back from another breeder I’m not sure about. She breeds colours I’m interested in, is within driving distance and breeds “happy, healthy pets,” but I’m still hoping to hear back from more breeders before I decide.
